Our Location

West Dover is a four-season village in a high valley in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont — a convenient drive from New York City, Albany, Hartford or Boston. Deerhill Inn is 8 minutes from the Base Lodge at Mount Snow Ski Resort, 10 minutes from the historic town of Wilmington, and 15 minutes from the Marina at Lake Whitingham.

Guests are always welcome to drive up to the front of the Inn (the second entrance as you go up Valley View Road) to check in and unload luggage.

Finding the Inn

  • When you arrive in the village of West Dover going North along Route 100, go through the small white historic village, past the Town Office, the Church and the 1846 Tavern, and turn right into Valley View Road, just before the red-painted Deerfield Valley Inn.
  • When you arrive in the village of West Dover going South along Route 100 (you will have passed Mount Snow), go through the ski village and turn left into Valley View Road, just past the red-painted Deerfield Valley Inn.
  • NOTE: The Deerfield Valley Inn, which is the red Inn on the corner, is not our Inn! Valley View Road is immediately adjacent to this Inn.
  • As you turn into Valley View Road, you will see Deerhill Inn on the right side of the road facing out towards the Green Mountains.
  • Drive up to the Main Entrance (the second entrance going up the hill) to unload and check in.

From New York via Hartford

  • Approximately 4 hours
  • I-95 to New Haven.
  • I-91 North to Exit 2 (Milepost 8) in Brattleboro, VT.
  • Right on Route 9 West to Wilmington.
  • Right on VT Route 100 North to West Dover.
  • Right onto Valley View Road and up the hill just one tenth of a mile.

From Boston

  • Approximately 3 hours
  • Route 2 to I-91 North.
  • Right on I-91 North to Exit 2 (Milepost 8) in Brattleboro, VT.
  • Right on Route 9 West to Wilmington.
  • Right on VT Route 100 North to West Dover.
  • Right onto Valley View Road and up the hill just one tenth of a mile.

From Albany

  • Approximately 90 minutes
  • NY Route 7 East to VT Route 9 East in Bennington, VT.
  • Left on VT Route 9 East to Wilmington, VT.
  • Left on VT Route 100 North to West Dover.
  • Right onto Valley View Road and up the hill just one tenth of a mile.
